  • Aaron Nelson is a board certified Endocrinologist currently practicing at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. He is a native of Oak Hill, WV and received his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology/Physiology at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He received his doctorate from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2012, then remained in Morgantown for his Internal Medicine residency at WVU. In 2017 he completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at EVMS in Norfolk, VA. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the EVMS Center for Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders. Dr. Nelson is a certified clinical densitometrist. He is an active member of several professional societies and has presented at both regional and national meetings. In addition to his clinical duties, he chairs the Diabetes Resource Council and serves as the medical director of Diabetes Management at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Outside of medicine, he enjoys listening to music, sports and reading about history.
