  • Dr. Newton's passion is education and she has over 25 years of professional experience in the educational field.

    Currently, Dr. Newton works full time with the Office of Graduate Medical Education as the Director of Educational Programs at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). In this role she helps to create and implement faculty development curricula and deliver trainings in multiple modalities to residents, faculty, and staff. Additionally, she serves on the Institution Review Board (IRB) and provides her expertise as a social/behavioral expert while reviewing protocols. Dr. Newton is also an assistant professor with the Department of Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of The Kings Daughters (CHKD).

We pair physicians with our doctoral educators to work on quality improvement projects as well as residency and fellowship research projects.
