Research
research overview
- I am an ethicist and social epidemiologist who studies how policy affects marginalized or otherwise vulnerable populations. My background has allowed me to carve out a unique program of research justifying and evaluating policy from both ethical and epidemiological perspectives. It is within this context that I became interested in assessing and developing policy as a tool for promoting health in light of the fact that many communities usually have very little control over what happens to them. My recent research evaluates policy within an implementation science framework, with a particular focus on using community-based participatory approaches to facilitate policy adaptation in response to community feedback.
